Have you put Disney transportation to the test? Some of you don't have a choice if you fly and do not have a rental car. Here are a few tips for getting around property.

Park transportation begins approximately 1 hour prior to that park's opening time and all transportation runs until approximately 1 to 1½ hours after the park closes. When using Disney transportation you are dropped off close to the park entrance, so there will not be a lot of walking or waiting on a tram.
Walt Disney World® Resort transportation is also available to take you to the water parks and the Downtown Disney Area. Another option is using the water taxis and ferry boats from some resorts. If you are unsure how to get from one place to another you can always locate a nearby cast member and they will advise you of the best way to get to your destination.
Another thing to know before you go is if you are dining at a different resort then where you are staying. It can still be done, however you need to allow enough transportation time to get there. You will have take transportation to a park and then use the monorail or bus to go to the resort where you will be dining. The same applies for your return back to your hotel. It is nice to plan your meals around the park area you will be visiting on that day, to avoid extra travel time.
