When setting up the Allure of the Seas® Royal Caribbean went all out to make sure that everyone who travels on her would have a great time. This is ever so obvious when you look at the children's program areas.

The Adventure Ocean Club covers over 28,700 square feet and is the place for kids from 6 months to 17 years to go while onboard.
Adventure Ocean is broken down into several areas and age groups. The group & ages are: Royal Tots: 6 months to 3 years; Aquanauts: 3 years to 6 years; Explorers: 6 to 8 years; Voyagers: 9 to 11 years; Teens: 12 to 17 years. All offer age appropriate and group special activities. A big question for most parents is what qualifications for these childcare staff have? Adventure Ocean Counselors have degrees in education other child-related fields. Counselors are CPR trained and have had background checks done before being allowed to be part of Adventure Ocean. The rooms are bright and roomy. Notices on doors that open out to the decks are clearly marked for the security of the kids. For some groups, there are scheduled times and minimal costs and some are for parents to enjoy with their children.
The Kids Zone leaves no doubt that this place is made for kids. The area it is well lit and very colorful. We loved the lit box that made pigs fly. There is an arcade and the Explorer Academy in the main entryway. Going through the doors there is a large play area directly in front of you. Walking the circular Kids Way takes you past the group areas as wells as the Imagination Studio, Adventure Science Lab and the Adventure Ocean Theater.
The teen area can be found a deck above the Kids Zone. Here they will find the teen-only Living Room and Fuel Disco. The Living Room area is the area for the teen traveler to just hang out and meet other teens. If they are looking for refreshments, the Mocktail Bar is the place to go. Fuel is the dance club for teens. Not only can they listen to favorite music and dance in the evenings, but during the day they can learn to be a deejay by going to ScratchDJ 101. Other activities include scavenger hunts, sports, video games, karaoke and a teen quest. Having their own Navigator lets our young travelers know the daily scheduled events.
So if you are concerned that the children and teens in your family will be bored while on vacation, worry no more! Royal Caribbean has done their homework and provided so much for the younger traveler. They have provided a safe and fun place for the youngest of passengers. With activities from scrapbooking to learning about all aspect of the theater, there is plenty to keep every child and teen busy.
