Disney Magic Cruise
The Disney Magic cruise calls on ports around the world including the Baltics and Northern Europe, Eastern and Western Caribbean, Western Europe, the British Isles, the Mediterranean and the Transatlantic.
Like its sister ship, Disney Wonder®, Disney Magic® resembles a classic cruise ship in the style of the great ocean liners of the 1920s, yet has all the modern cruise ship pleasures. Disney details are evident everywhere, from the handrails and wall art to the table china, and even on the ship itself with it’s vaguely mouse ear-like stacks.
Dining is a key feature of any cruise and no less important on the Disney Magic cruise line. Lumiere’s, the fanciest and most traditional of the three main restaurants onboard, features a classic French menu; Animator’s Palate, with screens that come alive with montages of Disney animations is colorful and different; and Parrot Cay duplicates a colorful Caribbean marketplace and waiters that form conga lines for a little diversional fun. The food is very good and portions are ample in all three of the main restaurants. Other eateries on the Disney Magic cruise include Topsider’s for casual dining, a couple of fast food places and an ice cream bar along with Palo, an adults-only bistro serving excellent Mediterranean fare and a wonderful champagne brunch. Room service is constantly available around the clock.
Family activities facilities are of course normal for any Disney Magic cruise. However, adults will find plenty of things to enjoy as well. Beat Street becomes adults-only in the evenings while the Rockin’ Bar D plays host to family shows and dance parties. Many different activities are also available like basketball, karaoke, kite making, dance skits, and more. Disney characters are often on hand to dazzle their young admirers and production numbers featuring Disney characters abound. Game shows, movies, shuffleboard tournaments, golf putting contests, pool games, music trivia games, dance lessons, talent shows and more fill out the entertainment for younger vacationers. Adults can get a glimmer of the inner workings of the ship and Disney productions or join in on backstage cooking with a ship’s chef.
Stateroom accommodations on Disney Magic cruises are roomy and elegant and designed with family space requirements in mind. Storage options are plentiful and the furniture and appointments are comfortable and homey.
Offshore activities and excursions are entirely dependent upon which of the various cruises you sign up for on Disney Magic.
